Our Facilitators

I found ADHD AF podcast shortly after a friend telling me she thought I had ADHD. Like many others, I binged the lot then waited for each new episode like it was my job. To hear someone like me talk about all the stuff that had caused me so much pain, difficulty, desperately trying to fit in and never knowing why I didn’t-ness, whilst roaring with laughter at relatable blunders, decisions, situations to find yourself in…life changer, life saver.
ADHDAF+ Charity are plugging a gaping asteroid crater type hole in the ADHD world for women and other marginalised genders, like me. The podcast, its online community and the Charity have changed my life, given me life long friends and an understanding of myself I never would have had without.
There are times I didn’t think I would still be here on this planet - ADHDAF+ has made sure I am.
I now have the utter privilege of facilitating one of the peer support groups and I’ve actually just come home from ours tonight; FULL of love, excitement, a sense of something really special building and a whole bunch of new friends who GET IT.
One of our returnee group members said our group was her ‘glimmer’ for the week. Another first time attendees said the same, and how she was at the start of her ADHD safari but listening to us all made her feel so seen and understood and that she was so grateful.
The work of ADHDAF+ is VITAL. I couldn’t be prouder to be part of it and more grateful for all the support I’ve received.”

Our Attendees

“The session was really good. Gill is a WONDERFUL facilitator, she keeps the session on track whilst it still feels organic, she makes sure everyone has a chance to speak and share things. I wasn’t in the mood for the session beforehand, I’d had a busy day at work but instantly felt welcome and at home and really enjoyed the session. I left feeling relaxed, happy, validated and no longer alone in my ADHD struggles!
Honestly can’t thank the charity enough for creating this support network - you’re a real lifeline!”

- Manchester Attendee

“It was my first group. I was able to be honest and open and was met with a lot of love and care and support.
I left feeling less alone, affirmed, and like I was already part of the group. I am looking forward to the next one!”
- Bristol Attendee

“Paula did a great job making everyone feel comfortable to open up and share their thoughts and feelings.
It was lovely, I will definitely attend the next.”

- Blackpool Attendee

“Some really good points were made about being kind to yourself, owning behavior and accepting the way your brain works with regards to putting systems in place.”
- Ayr Attendee

Our Audience
